  • In summary, at NSC level PMDP participating schools have, on average, year on year outperformed the KZN provincial average assessment results by just under 7%.

  • Furthermore, the 2009 pilot cohort of schools recorded a total average improvement of 25.5% in their NSC results since starting the programme in 2009. The 2010 cohort improved by 19.2% from 2010-2012.

  • The attendance of learners and teachers during the programme was measured, and on average teacher attendance improved by more than 5% in 86% of participating schools.

“PSA was contracted by ourselves, to conduct work which involved training and coaching of school principals and HODs to ensure that management practices in schools is improved. This work was conducted during 2014/2015 in KZN as part of the NECT District Improvement Programme. We further confirm that this was work successfully completed with positive results.”
